Yeah, he FREAKS OUT if we don't have the heat "high enough" and insists that NOTHING IS TOO GOOD FOR HIS GRANDSON (but won't help with the heat bill, of course) but balks at installing entry lights at the front or back door or installing a gate on the side of the building to keep Niko from running into the back alley.

I love the look of the front door (even though it's damaged) but I've been side eye-ing it for a while and now I really want to just replace it. We'll see what happens. We might just install deadbolts on the interior entry doors (us and the upstairs folks).
