I agree with you, in that yes it is a general point of view but calling it "held by wikipedia articles in general" based on one guy sitting down to do this without having discussed it with anyone is a stretch. I thought Filippachi's article was annoying and alarmist at the wrong things. I just want people to look realistically at the process of doing things, discussing, and coming to consensus....
