I want to note that "stiff body language" feels like a CHOICE for the character. Like Ted's really tightly wound and wary of other people. He holds himself really still and is afraid of moving the "wrong" way. It's not just being physically awkward or unaware although it does feel a little bit like that. But maybe someone who is/was a bit clumsy and was physically punished for it? Someone who's afraid of "stepping out of line" both figuratively and literally?
