....oh, I would be screaming-on-the-ceiling furious.

I tried, twice, to get treatment for migraines. The first doctor, when I told him I got hideous headaches when the weather changed, asked me "if you know what causes them, why are you here?" in a very patronizing voice. The second said "ah, yeah, a lot of people have that." And did not address it any farther, even though she also wrote my FMLA note for migraines!

The third time I made an appointment directly with a neurologist (which I am incredibly lucky & privileged my insurance allowed me to do) and showed up with a literal binder of data and a speech. He gently stopped me about one minute into said speech and said "yes, it's pretty obvious you have migraines. I see you have been storing up a lot of data about them, and that will be really helpful. Let's see what we can do to control them."

I cried after the appointment.
