I can't recall exactly what bergamot smells like (though if it's what I think it is, I usually like it)...but I'm sorry this particular scent is so overpowering for you. I agree with the recommendation above to try a little baking soda (white vinegar would probably also do the trick, if you find baking soda irritating to your skin).
