Live Journal is doing that thing again where its tubes are filled with thought honey, and it goes slow and won't load and is just balky and awful. Wonder if something specific is causing that?
Toot! Toot! Welcome to the LJ Failboat Express! We will gladly drop you off at Dreamwidth before arriving at the final destination of Suckopolis. Have a pleasant journey, and thank you for choosing LJ Failbook Express Enterprises.
Well at least it's not just me, which I thought it was, and led to the unplugging and plugging back in of the router, and many arcane practices. I blame the fail.
I was discussing this with another Lj user and the main reason that service tends to get sketchy on big blogging sites is code pushes. So they may have (heh, not holding me breath) listened to the, ahem, suggestions of the userbase and are altering parts of the code around this facebook/twitter malarky.
OR.
They could be in fail!mode. Depends how cynical you're feeling really.
I really really doubt they're going to change their facebook/twitter crossposting feature. It opens LJ up to a whole new revenue source of people who wouldn't normally use LJ. It'd be nice if they implemented a thing where users can prevent others from cross posting/linking their comments, and it'd be nice if they fixed the pingback debacle (and I'm pro-pingback in general, primarily because of the type of blogging that I do). But I really doubt it.
I was actually wondering if they were being ddosed or something.
They've been getting a LOT more traffic and new members due to the FB connectivity. I wonder if that's related.
