Do you think he's heard or seen anything about the horror of Friday? It goes without saying that everyone around him kept it away from him. But with our media saturation, and the saturation of the media about the terrible event, it's hard to prevent anything at all from leaking through.
And how in heck do you explain something like that to a little kid his age that makes any sense that can reassure him -- it's not easy being a parent of any kind, and trying so hard consciously to be as good a parent as you can be -- that's even harder.
