One wonders whether it would be harmful, useful or neutral to explain this to your child's teachers at the starting gate, to give them a background as to why they might possibly see you as a too protective mom?
I am not by any means saying you are that kind of mother. I am saying that you are a mother who is productively aware of how easy something can happen, at any moment, in a young child's education, to give him / her a negative sense of school -- and you definitely don't want to happen with your child the things that happened -- even inadvertently -- with you.
