I know that, if my mother came to visit (we haven't seen her for two and a half years), I'd pull my ten year old out of school for a couple of days. I can see doing it for other special occasions. I don't know when any of them will come up, though.
Midnight showings are out because neither adult in the family can do them. I can't go to movies (migraines), and Scott can't take time off work for such things.
