Our walls need to come down because they are damaged, and we need to update the electrical. Like, our bathroom? The light switch is outside the bathroom. WHAT. Our sunroom? The lightswitch is in the hallway outside the living room. Which means if you are in the sunroom and want to turn on the light you have to walk through the living room and exit it to find the switch. I believe most of the electrical wiring, which is not fully up to code but at least is grounded and not wrapped in cloth or paper, is run through old gas conduits which explains some of the weird placement. But still. Geeze.
We have the hairy many legged things, too. It's like freaking WILD KINGDOM in here.
