Nesko's always going on about how GREAT Serbian is because it's PHONETIC so if you can SAY IT you can SPELL IT. Well, I know how to physically say the different sounds because I had a teacher who told us where to put our tongues to, say, make the 2 different CH sounds (one's softer, one's harder; I can't tell them apart and I also confuse them with sh and dj, both of which have softer and harder sounds) but unless I've seen the word spelled a bunch of times, I can't spell it because... I can't translate the sound to the symbol. :/
